What: A set of hard plastic monsters with 12 known sculpts made in red, blue, green and yellow. There's a few really imaginative, bizarre designs here such as a humanoid robot with crazy eyes coming out of his head, a monster with a body consisting of either tires or donuts (or maybe just big fat rolls) and a guy who has a hole right through the middle of his body. I had no idea what these were for the longest time, but through the power of eBay their identity was revealed. They came packaged in a bag with a with a larger haunted tree figure. They were sold under at least two different names--"Monsters & Goblins" and "Terrible Monster" (these are wonderfully terrible on a few different levels, so I think that's quite a fitting name!).

Nice find ! I have been clueless about this guy for a while.
ReplyDeleteLooks like there's a playmat included in the original bag as well. Wonder what that looks like?
ReplyDeleteAny idea what year these are from?
ReplyDeleteI've never seen specific dates, but my best guess is mid-1990s.
Deletewhat does the playmat look like?
ReplyDeleteI'm actually not sure as I don't own one.
